The other endpoint

Explant: leaving implants behind, properly

Removal — with or without a lift, with or without fat grafting — is a fully respected destination here, not a failure to upsell. What honest explant involves.

The decisions inside removal

'Just take them out' contains three choices.

  • Capsule handling — from conservative to complete capsulectomy, decided by findings (contracture, rupture, texture history), not slogans. Where total removal is right it's done properly; where it isn't, you'll hear why less surgery is safer surgery.
  • Lift or no lift — the honest variable: small implants and resilient skin can settle beautifully alone; larger, older implants usually leave skin that needs mastopexy for a shape you'll like. You're shown which category you're in before surgery.
  • Fat grafting — optional soft restoration for 'natural but not empty', same stage or later.
Expectations, plainly

Smaller — and yours.

Explant means smaller; pretending otherwise is how women end up unhappy twice. Done well it also means natural, settled and comfortable — and 'relief' is the word explant patients use most. Realistic outcome photos are shared privately at assessment, matched to your tissue and implant history.

From the UK: the standard pathway — photos and history, a named plan, written all-inclusive quote, a 6–8 day stay, remote aftercare home.

Done with implants?

Fine — do the leaving properly. Send photos for the honest read: alone, with lift, or with fat.
